What we collect

• Information you give us. Your name, email address, phone number, the neighbourhood and timeline you select and anything you write in the message field of an enquiry form.
• Information about your enquiry. The page you submitted from, the date and time, the country your request came from and your browser user agent string. We use this to reply in context and to identify automated submissions.
• Spam prevention. Our enquiry form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to distinguish people from automated scripts. Cloudflare processes a challenge token for this purpose.

This site does not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies or third party tracking scripts. No cookie consent banner appears because no non-essential cookies are set.

Why we collect it

To answer your enquiry, to provide real estate services you have asked us about and, where you have consented, to send you information about Markham real estate. We do not use your information for any other purpose without asking you first.

Consent and how to withdraw it

We ask for express consent on our enquiry form before we contact you with commercial electronic messages. That consent is recorded with your submission.

You can withdraw consent at any time. Use the unsubscribe link in any email we send, reply to any message asking us to stop or write to [email protected]. We will action it promptly. Withdrawing consent to marketing messages does not prevent us from replying to a transaction you have engaged us on.

Who we share it with

Your enquiry is forwarded to our customer relationship system so we can track and answer it. We use service providers to host this website, to filter spam and to manage client records and those providers process information on our behalf under contract.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

If you engage us for a transaction, information may be shared with the parties needed to complete it, such as lawyers, lenders, the brokerage and the real estate board and may be subject to the rules of the Toronto Regional Real Estate Board and applicable legislation.

Where information is stored

Our service providers may store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States. Where that happens, the information may be accessible to courts and law enforcement in that jurisdiction under its laws.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry records for as long as needed to answer you and to meet our record keeping obligations as a registrant, then we delete or de-identify them. Records connected to a completed transaction are retained for the period required by law.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Write to [email protected] and we will respond within a reasonable time, normally within thirty days.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Security

This site is served over HTTPS. Enquiries are validated and filtered server side and secrets such as webhook addresses and spam filtering keys are held in server configuration and are never exposed in the pages you load.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we handle personal information we will update this page and change the date at the top.
